Ravinder Takkar is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s leading telecom service provider, effective 19th August 2019.
Ravinder’s professional experience of 25+ years spans across cultures and geographies, building a strong track record in the field of business strategy, business planning and development in the ICT sector. Associated with Vodafone Group since 1994, he has worked in leadership positions with several operating companies of Vodafone, in multiple markets across the world.
Prior to taking his current role, Ravinder was the Chairman, Vodafone Group Services & Regional Business Development (Africa, Middle East & Asia Pacific), based out of New Delhi. He has also served as CEO of Vodafone Romania S.A. and as CEO of Vodafone Partner Markets, based in London.
He has been closely associated with the growth and evolution of Indian telecom since Vodafone Group‘s entry in 2007. He held a number of senior roles in Strategy and Business Development and was also the CEO of Vodafone’s Enterprise business in India. He has also served as Director on the Board of erstwhile Vodafone India Limited.
In addition to his responsibilities at Vodafone Idea, Ravinder also serves as Director on the boards of Indus Towers Limited, Cable & Wireless Global (India) Private Limited and Vodafone India Services Private Limited. He led the Indian telecom industry as the Chairman of the industry body, Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), in the year 2019-20.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.
Akshaya Moondra is the Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s largest telecom service provider, effective 31st August 2018.
A member of the National Leadership Team, he is responsible for arranging and managing company finances, capital allocation, statutory and management reporting, budgetary and internal controls, revenue assurance, strategic business finance, investor relations, secretarial and other compliances.
He is also a member of the CII National Committee of CFOs and National Committee on Taxation.
Prior to his current role, Akshaya was the CFO of Idea Cellular Ltd. since 2008 and Whole Time Director since July 2016. He is also a nominee Director on the Board of Indus Towers, the world’s largest independent tower company.
Ranked as the Top CFO in Indian listed companies across sectors for 2016 by Finance Asia and amongst Top 3 CFOs in Asia in Telecom Sector by Institutional Investor for 3-years, Akshaya joined telecom after spending over two decades in various Aditya Birla Group companies - Grasim Industries, South East Pulp, Thai Rayon, Thai Epoxy and Allied Products and Thai Acrylic Fibre.
An alumnus of the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School, Akshaya is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and also a qualified Company Secretary.
Ambrish Jain is the Chief Operations Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s largest telecom service provider, effective 31st August 2018.
A member of the National Leadership Team, he drives pan-India circle Operations and Service Delivery.
Prior to his present role, Ambrish was the Deputy Managing Director at Idea Cellular and was instrumental in driving Idea’s fast paced growth in the Indian telecom market, spearheading Sales, Operations, Enterprise Business, Fixed line data Business and other new Businesses across all circles.
A veteran of the Indian telecom industry with almost four decades of rich and varied experience, Ambrish has held key leadership positions across Sales, Marketing, Operations and P&L during his long tenure at Idea Cellular. He has won several coveted awards including Aditya Birla Group Chairman’s Awards for “Outstanding Leader” and “Leader of Leaders”.
An alumnus of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School, Ambrish is a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and Post Graduate from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Abhijit Kishore is the Chief Enterprise Business Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s largest telecom service provider since February 2020.
Abhijit drives the enterprise business enabling businesses across industry verticals, geography and size to remain connected, scale-up and become more efficient by benefitting from the smartest and newest technologies.
Before taking on this role Abhijit was the Circle Business Head for Gujarat. He was responsible for all lines of businesses including Consumer and Enterprise segments. He was also responsible for the Customer Service Delivery, Sales and Distribution, Retail, Marketing, Technology, Finance and HR practices in the market.
Prior to Gujarat, Abhijit was in Kerala where he led the successful launch of first 4G in India by Vodafone.
Abhijit has been working in the Indian telecom sector across the country in different capacities for the last 25 years and has held leadership roles in the last decade.
Abhijit is an alumnus of FORE School of Management, Delhi and has also completed Senior Leadership Programs from IIM Ahmedabad and London Business School.
P Balaji is the Chief Regulatory & Corporate Affairs Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s largest telecom service provider, effective 31st August 2018.
A member of the National Leadership Team, Balaji leads the company’s Regulatory, Public Policy and Government Relations activities along with Industry advocacy, Corporate Communications, Reputation Management and CSR.
Prior to his present role, Balaji was the Director –Regulatory, External Affairs and CSR at Vodafone India. He was responsible for leading the company’s Regulatory, Public Policy & Government Relations activities and also the External Affairs function overseeing Corporate Communications, Reputation Management and administering Corporate Social Responsibility and the Vodafone Foundation in India.
Prior to that, he was the Managing Director of Nokia India and Managing Director of Sony Mobile.
He has spent over two and half decades in Telecom & IT handling diverse functions including sales, marketing, strategy, operations, and product management. Balaji has held senior leadership positions in start-up and turn-around ventures of TATA group, AT&T, Ericsson, Lucent and Sony, gaining rich experience and exposure to the emerging Digital landscape.
Balaji is also the Chairman of ASSOCHAM National Council on Telecommunications and Convergence, a member of National Council of apex industry chambers like CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, AIMA and Telecom Sector Skill Council. He was President of Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association (TEMA), Northern Region Chairman of the Telecom Export promotion council and member of Task Force forum set up by government on policy matters.
An Electronics Engineer from IIT Roorkee, Balaji completed his MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad in Marketing, Finance and Strategy.

Rajesh Srivastava is the Chief Commercial Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s largest telecom service provider, effective 31st August 2018.
A member of the National Leadership Team, Rajesh leads all activities related to the company’s Capex and Opex spends, and all Supply Chain aspects including Procurement, Contracting, Warehousing/Logistics, Inventory Management etc.
Prior to his present role, Rajesh was the Chief Commercial Officer at Idea Cellular where he was instrumental in procuring world class equipment for Network, IT and Services including Towers, Sales/Marketing and Service Delivery requirements. Under his leadership, the Commercial department handled all Contracts for Idea’s growing telecom infrastructure, Marketing and Service Delivery operations. He spearheaded major cost savings initiatives and streamlining supply chain management practices for high levels of operational efficiencies.
In his four decades as a professional, Rajesh has gained diverse experience across sectors such as FMCG, Hospitality, Manufacturing and Consulting, including 17 years in the Telecom sector. He has worked in senior positions with leading organizations like DCM, Unilever, Hutchison Essar, Oberoi Hotels, Fasttelco (in Kuwait as CEO) & Ipca Laboratories Limited.
Rajesh holds degrees in B.Sc. Hons (Physics) from Delhi University and B.E. (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Avneesh Khosla is the Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s leading telecom service provider.
As the CMO, he spearheads the company’s consumer initiatives and is focussed on building a strong franchise for Brand Vi - India’s newest telecom brand, born out of the world’s largest network integration.
At Vodafone Idea, Avneesh is spearheading key strategic agendas around driving a strong business transformation through a digital first approach.
Avneesh Khosla’s 25+ years of professional experience spans across diverse industries such as Telecom, Retail and Advertising.
He joined Hutchison in 2002 and has since held various leadership roles in Vodafone India and Vodafone Idea across the business spectrum of Sales, Distribution, Marketing and Customer Experience.
He has led the marketing efforts for Vodafone India in his earlier role, and more recently in the combined entity of Vodafone Idea Ltd.
Avneesh holds a post graduate degree in Business Administration from IMT Ghaziabad and a bachelor degree in Economics from Hindu College, Delhi University.

Reema Jain is the Chief Digital Officer at Vodafone Idea Limited. She leads Vi’s Digital Strategy, Execution and Adoption across the Company.
Reema has over 19 years’ work experience across IT Strategy, Technology Delivery, Digital Solutions, ERP, Transformation Project Management, Operational Excellence, Dev-Ops and Agile Methodologies.
Prior to joining Vi, Reema was the IT Director – Digital Supply Chain of Unilever where she was responsible for developing and delivering the digital logistics strategy and also leading digital factory transformation across manufacturing units using Microsoft Azure platform, for the organisation’s global operations. She has performed various global roles such as IT Director – Digital Integration and IT Director – ERP Application Management at Unilever. Reema has also worked with GE where her last role was that of Oracle Technology Leader.
Reema holds a B.E. in Electronics from Nagpur University and is a qualified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Manish Sansi is the Chief Legal Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL). In this role, he heads legal, compliance and FRS functions.
He has over 25 years of work experience across various industries, out of which 18 years have been spent in the telecom sector. Prior to joining VIL, he was the General Counsel-India and Company Secretary of Tata Communications Limited where he was responsible for matters related to legal, procurement, compliances, secretarial and regulatory in India.
He has also worked for multinational firms such as the erstwhile Vodafone, Hutchison and Telenor, as well as large Indian organizations such as Tata Communications, Indus Towers, HCL, etc. Manish has led and managed all facets of legal function spanning from global commercial, procurement contracting, enterprise legal, litigation management, corporate transactions including high stake mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, fund raising, compliances, regulatory, corporate affairs and corporate secretarial of Indian as well as companies across jurisdictions around the world.
He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a qualified lawyer from Delhi University.
Suvamoy Roy Choudhury is the Chief Human Resource Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited, India’s largest telecom service provider, effective 31st August 2018.
A member of the National Leadership Team, Suvamoy is responsible for shaping the people strategy and building the employment brand of the organization.
Prior to his present role, Suvamoy was Director–Human Resources at Vodafone India Limited.
Having worked across geographies and industry segments in different verticals of the Human Resource Function, Suvamoy carries rich and varied experience of three decades. He has held leadership positions with marquee organizations including ICI India, Motorola, Baxter Healthcare and Reckitt Benckiser. He has successfully undertaken several assignments across the Asia Pacific Region.

Jagbir Singh is the Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone Idea Limited, one of India’s leading telecommunications services providers.
Jagbir is a veteran in the telecom industry with over 32 years of experience in providing Technology Leadership and strategic vision to all major Telcos in India & globally. As a member of the core leadership team of Vi in India, he plays a critical role in strategic planning of the technology and network infrastructure for the company.
A Seasoned professional in Telecom networks and technologies, he is Strategic Thinker and a Team Builder with in-depth knowledge & experience in managing Network Life cycle of Planning, Engineering, Deployment and Operations in both B2C and B2B segments.
Prior to joining Vi, Jagbir was working as the Group Chief Technology Information Officer at Smartfren Telecom, Indonesia, responsible for Network, IT /digital platforms and enterprise business. Previously, he has worked as the Group CTO at Reliance Jio helping it launch 4G services in India. Jagbir has also been associated with Samsung, and later Airtel as Group CTO for more than a decade.
Jagbir started his professional career as a Scientist-R&D at DRDO and moved on to Lucent technologies where he pioneered exceptional business growth in Lucent on all products – leading India team as Technical & Pricing head. He then moved on to APAC role in Nortel as Director, responsible for Network solutions.
He has also held several leadership positions in industry associations including serving as a member of GSMA’s Executive Management Council; Chairman of the Technology Committee of COAI; Founding Member of the Global TD-LTE Initiative (GTI) Steering Committee.
He holds a Masters in Electronics and an MBA in Marketing. He has attended various leadership and management programs from Harvard University, Wharton University and INSEAD Business School.
